Traditional IPO

Learn how companies prepare for a conventional public listing.

A conventional listing is a long preparation process. Audited financials, internal controls, a board that can operate in public, and the ability to forecast reliably all come before the offering itself.

Most of the work is operational rather than financial: closing the books quickly and accurately every quarter, and being able to explain results to people who did not watch them happen.

Useful questions: Can you forecast the next four quarters with confidence? Who will speak for the company? What happens internally the first time you miss?
